its new yr eve tdy! 2006 is coming to a close n 2007 is coming!

oh man. i know i've said it alot of times but time really seems to be passing so quickly. one yr has passed. dun seem to hve acheived alot in the yr tho. but i tink i've changed q abit. tink i've tamed down q alot, i'm less hyper, more short-tempered, more straightforward, more cynical, less friendly n helpful, more antisocial, more tired looking n older. basically, i tink i've grown up. n it sux.

hm wanted to do a recap for the yr but cant really seem to rmb much abt the first half of the yr.

had sch term fr jan to march n exams fr march to early may.

had EID during the summer hols fr may to mid june. did the remote control padlock.

aft tt was off to US fr mid june to early august! woohoo! had loads of fun n was really glad to hve met the 5 guys n julin! really missed the travelling, the bizarre adventures(anyt can happen there. i'm sure xinli knows wat i mean. haha), the pace of life etc.

back fr US was the start of yr 3 fr early aug to mid nov. was the worst sem i've ever had n hope it's the worst sem i'l ever have.

had exams fr 15 to 22nd nov. the fastest n worst exam period i've ever had. so glad its over. n so glad my results turned out fine.

had hols all the way till now. mostly havin ih. oso dunno wat i've been doin at other times. not a v gd hol as well cos everyone seems to be either away or busy with their own stuff so din really go out alot oso. n the rainy weather din help.

hope 2007 will be a better yr!! =)

here are my new yr resolutions:

make a positive difference to the lives of ppl arnd me. i know its difficult but i'l try. (was inspired by nataniel when i was readin the interview w him in the newspapers tdy. was surprised to see his face so big there. he was my OGL in AC. din know he was in the showbiz.)

control my temper n dun get pissed off so easily. haha

treating everyone sincerely all the time. ya. everyone. all the time. (or at least as much as possible la..)

go joggin at least once a week.

do sth interesting everyday. n not nua my day away all the time. haha

hm i cant really tink of anymore resolutions la. if any come to mind i'l update again. muz put it down so tt i'l keep to it. hahaha

this yr's new yr eve is kinda special cos my parents are not in singapore w us.

it started off last night. went for supper w sj. picked him up fr his hse at arnd 10. waliao he gave damn lousy directions to his hse la. actually damn easy n can reach damn fast one. hahaah but his super lousy directions got me lost twice. kns.

haha den we went dou feng. drove down to orc, dhoby ghaut den down to suntec, esplanade. up to marina south den to kallang waterfront. den we stopped at geylang to eat. we were tryin to find parking when we saw some hdb so we decided to park at the carpark there. we drove towards it only to find tt there is no turn to the carpark n the rd leads to the expressway tt would bring us back to town. hahahaha.

aft finally parking the car at some multi storey carpark, we went to eat dim sum. nice! too bad its not buffet. hahaha. next time we can go there eat!

reached hme arnd 2 plus, full, more confident with my driving and knowing my way arnd s'pore better. hahaha

went for breakfast w my sis this morn. den went thomson plaza walk walk. haven been out w her in a long time. its always nice to go out w her.

juz had dinner w my siblings n my bro's fren. i tink he's trying to jio her. hahaaha. had pizza fr oiishi. ok la q unique.

now watching stuart little 2. hm waiting for the fireworks later. =)

Happy New Year!

the past few days really zoomed past man. so fast tt it all felt like one day. 厉害吗...

results were out on the 28th dec. did ok la. managed to clear the one i was most worried abt. heng ar... the rest i tink all ok la. i was so damn scared when i first checked my results lo. den when i saw the lowest was a B- i was so happy tt i can faint. whahahah

tt night, my sis n me went to send my parents off. we reached alittle earlier to send xue off first. met xinying there! i din even know she was back. hahaa her 皮肤still as smooth as ever. 羡慕ar! anw she was sayin that she will graduate in half a yr. den she'l be back in spore to work. haha juz some updates for u guys. bet u all haven seen her in a v long time oso rite... ahahahah

hm aft tt went to send my parents off. there was some commotion regarding the baggage n my cousin was so pissed off tt she was tearing. hope their trip will be much better than this lousy start!

yups n tt's the start of me having the car for the next few days!

the next day i had to go back hall for tennis. so qiao tt chun msged me the night before juz to tok kok n i found out tt she was gona go hall as well to support soccer cos her bf playin. so i gave her a lift to sch. was chattin w her in the car when i found out tt their r/s on rocky grounds le. haiz so sad. one aft another joinin the singles club leh they all. isn't it supposed to be the season of love?? whahaaha

watched soccer n we won 5-2! haha it was q farny watchin cos the field was damn muddy n the ball would juz plonk onto the mud n get stuck there. or roll halfway n get stuck n all the players will all tio snoob n miss the ball. haha

had tennis match aft tt. played girls' singles against h1. was leading 3-0 la! den i lost the match 4-6. haha chuied. eh got one shuai ge in the team. but dunno him one la. juz see him play before. haha

aft tt went to watch the guys' vball semis. my hall vs h2. tho not as exciting as the previous one but still v exciting! n maybe cos its my hall playin so even mroe exciting. haha. hm we lost 3-0 but i tink overall the team played much better than they had been playin la. anw i'm in no position to coment much oso la. this being the last ih match or even the last vball match for most of them, it is inevitable tt they feel sad or angry or disappointed. but i guess wats over is over. no pt dwelling over it. guess tt's one of the things i've learnt in life. move on. there are juz some things tt u shld not or cannot hold on to.

aft tt watched the girls' semis. h2 vs h14. almost the whole of h2 team is made up of my open teammates. haah. haven played w them for eons la! watchin them play makes me feel like juz jumpin onto court to join them. whaahah. but it oso made me realise how much better they are now n how big the skill gap is between me n them now considering i haven trained for damn long. sighz. dunno can catch up not. hmm..

gave joy peijun sj n victor a lift back to hall aft the games. when i stopped to drop victor n sj off, victor suddenly asked me how come i drop them off in the middle of the road. i oso dunno how come so i moved off to drop them somewhere not in the middle of the rd. den sj suddenly shouted. hahhah i turned n realised tt sj actually already had one foot out of the car when i moved off. hahahah opps. aiyo i din notice la. there was chaos in my car den lo! all of them were tokg at the same time. so chaotic. hahah

aft tt sent sj hme to take his car. had dinner at this coffee shop opp his hse. had this chicken cutlet noodle. nice! next time we can go eat! hahaha

went to send js off at arnd 2+. it was so freakin cold in the car tt my teeth were chattering n my legs were shaking! i was so scared tt my legs would malfunction fr the cold den cannot step on the brake. whahaah. luckily the rest din know abt this if not i tink they would all be scared to death too. hahahh ignorance is bliss.

the send off was q a typical one where all the frens gather tok kok n take photos. juz tt this one got alot of ppl. haha. hope he'l enjoy this experience of a lifetime! =) wonder if he'l be different when he comes back. whahahaahhaa

had nball match the following morning(which is this morning la). against h9. n yay! we thrashed them! finally. hhahaa won 19-3. the one guarding me was damn rough la. she's the no sportsmanship girl. she kept pushin me until i dulan n ask her to stop pushin me. the sun was so hot tt now i hve tape line on my fingers..

n yups. aft the match i've been nuaing till now. haha. its new yr eve tmr lo. so fast another yr is gona be over.

witnessed a super duper exciting match ystd. hall 2 vs hall 6. woohoo! it was heart stopping man! haha joy n peijun were screamin their lungs out beside me la. n the hall 6 ppl were makin a din on the other side w their empty plastic bottles. hahah joy was sayin they gona get diabetes some day judgin by the number of bottles of 7-up and green tea they hve to consume every ih.

anw the game was a close fight. hall 6 won the first set. hall 2 won the second. n the last set was like some drama. the set was played to 25-26 to hall 6 when the next pt was given to h6 cos the umpire blew for out ball by h2. but h2 insisted tt h6 touched the ball so by right shld be their pt. they argue argue until almost fight lo. i pity the umpire man.. hahaah hu was kiat. in the end both umpires decided to reserve the pt. h6 was damn bu shuang. all their faces looked ready to kill la. haha in the end h2 won the set to take the match. so drama mama rite..

but was really exciting man! haven watched such a game in a long time! shiok!

haha there was this guy fr h2 hu jumps damn high la! omg. hahah actually got a few la but this one esp high. haha his head goes higher than the net when he jumps lo. n the guys' net is roughly 2.4m.. joy told me tt he 吃 spring 长大 one. hahah i oso wanna eat spring.

ok i sound whiney.. but i really feel like goin hme. so sian. tmr for nball trng in the morn. it had better not rain cos i stayed in hall tonight for tt.

but at least tdy still not too bad la. went for tennis n table tennis. haaahh n yay! i won my first tennis match tdy. WHAHAHAH. i'm startin to like tennis n bball more n more. haha

hm xue is flyin off to London tmr for exchange le. hope she has lots of fun! my parents are oso flyin off to china tmr for a short trip. bon voyage to them! =) so qiao both on the same day n oso both at night. so gona go send them off tgt. den yay! i'l hve the car for the next few days! hope my bro dun contest w me for it. whahaah

went caroling w my hall choir at swissotel. fun! aft tt went to eat n went orchard for countdown. we always end up counting down in the middle of nowhere. Last yr, we were in the middle of this super wide road between marina sq n esplanade when the clock struck twelve. This yr, we were on this ulu rd behind PS. wats wrong w us.. hahah

we ended up sittin n tokg till 2 plus at this coffee bean. had to cab back aft tt. was supposed to hve this night owl bus hme but they removed it 3 days ago! argh pulic transport here sux! haha tokg abt public tansport.....

ya.. the bump in the middle of the 2 seats does look like it fits the butt crack but no.. i dun tink its meant to be tt way. dun tink its comfortable too. n u're depriving others of a seat! argh.

Sportsmanship.

hm i oso dunno how come, but i will tend to use sportsmanship as one of the criterion to gauge a person's character. its like how ppl feel tt guys who like babies must be a gd guy n ppl hu care for animals muz be a gd person n ppl hu argue w their elders muz be a bad person.. yada yada yada..

my decision to touch on this topic was sparked by wat happened tdy during our bball game. this player fr the opposite team had possession of the ball n one of our players went forward to pressure her. while tackling her, our player accidentally tripped n fell.. n the opposite team player actually went 'woohoo!' and continued playin. i was like wtf.. where got ppl lidat one?!? i was so pissed off tt i subconciously juz commented (quite loudly..) 'no sportsmanship at all.'

not tt i'm a perfect sportsman in terms of sportsmanship wise oso la but at least better than average. haha. ok la. guess everyone has diff pespective of wat's gd sportsmanship ba. so no rite no wrong oso.

When i started playin sports, i learnt tt u only cheer. u dun jeer. hm but somehow aft coming to uni, jeerin seems q common. taunting too. esp in softball. throw pitchy pitchy.. pitch ur head ar! but maybe its a culture in softball to taunt ba. maybe tt's y i dun really like softball. haha

i oso believe tt when playin sports, dun 玩臭. some ppl will plan n scheme to win. some ppl will deny their mistakes or sometimes even accuse the opponent for the mistake to win. i tink its q pointless cos if u win this way oso not v 光彩.

sth else i cannot stand is when ppl smoke in sports facilities like courts, fields n track. i juz find it v inconsiderate n also disrespectful to the sport. in the first place, i already dun like ppl hu smoke. n worse still is when u're having time out and tryin to catch ur breath. u take in deep breaths of air only to get choked on cigarette smoke. wtf.

i also believe tt vulgarities shld be either not used on court or at least kept under ur breath. sometimes i do mouth or mumble some when i dun play well but at least i dun use them on others. for the past few matches, this teammate of mine has been using really crude vulgarities on court tt even i oso dulan her lo. when she got substituted off, the supporters actually cheered la. how 丢脸 is tt. n the worse thing is some others are starting to follow suit. sighz.

so much so much more. but will type until 天亮. so shall stop here. hope the next game will be against a pleasant team! n of course us as a pleasant team as well.

was supposed to go work at the zoo on fri. but the event was cancelled so no more work. means no money oso! =( haha. but in the end i got to meet up w germy! we went wisma's food republic to eat korean food. super yummy!! was my first time there. hahaha ok i know i ulu.. but there got alot of food tt looks so yummy! so we decided to go back there again to try the other stuff next time. germ was gona fly off to china tt evening. n i asked her which part of china she goin.. she said she forgot.. WHAHAHA i wont be surprised if she went n came back le n still dunno which part she went to. haah

met weiling, zhuan, olivia, shikai, melissa, peici n shiqi for dinner aft tt. yups! mel zhuan n olivia are back! missed melissa the last time she came back cos i was in US. so super long nv see her le! she gettin prettier n prettier! hm her hair longer le. she say she bettin w her siblings. if she dun cut her hair until she gets back or sth she'l win 50 bucks fr them. haha. hm she lost weight. hm shld hve taken photo ar.. but everyone forgot. haha

went azabu sabo at marina sq for dinner. nice!! wat was even better was the company. at first i felt a little awkward cos i q long nv meet up w most of them. but as we tok tok tok, things started to get warmed up n we were tokg n laughing like last time.. the times when we would hve dinner tgt aft trng (usu at scotts), den sit n tok kok aft tt. really missed tt.

aft we foot the bill, we went walkin arnd the mall. tink only shikai was happily shoppin. she gettin more n more auntie! WHAAHAAH shiqi was sayin its the way she holds her bag.. hahaha n while she shopped, weiling, shiqi n mel were tryin to figure out how to split the bill. hahaaha they took a super long time to figure out! super farny. felt so blissful n calm n comfortable w them. happy. =)

dropped zhuan n peici hme aft tt, n picked xue up to go to shiqi's place. hahaha i tink we all growing old, not so energetic le. last time stayovers cfm stay up whole night one. but recently our stayovers cfm will slp. hahah but had a nice tok to catch up w them. found out tt all of us found this sem the worst sem ever. n halfway tokg, xue's fren called to tell her tt there was a leak in NUS's system n they could check their results already. so she checked. n gd for her! she CAP was gd! =) haven had a girls' night out in a super long time! really enjoyed myself. =)

hm tt atnoon i met jit n aaron at NTU. they were havin some soccer frenly game. NTU vs SMU. n NTU won! sorry man jit! bleagh! whahaaha

anw kiat sent me to the checkup place cos he had half day off n he had to do sth nearby. he was supposed to paste arrows for some run thingy. in the end couldn't stick cos the ground was wet. haha so they ended up on him.

my hair was so long la! i tink it's the longest i've ever had. was actually comtemplating on perming it. but all my frens tell me its definitely too short to perm. so i decided not to cos i feel like changing hairstyle le. haah

so in the end decided to cut it short. hm was not v used to it when i juz cut it. but now ok le la. hee. i like the colour of it! hee.

anw, met up w eileen, kenneth n jit tdy. so super long nv meet up le la! kim couldn't make it cos his exams not over yet.. aww... poor thing. ahahaah supposed to meet up at 5. in the end jit turned up at 630pm.. so early. he kept tellin us he reachin reaching.. 20 more mins.. so we decided to go to Manhattan Fish Market to wait for him.

aft waiting for half an hr, we decided to order food without him cos we were gona share everyt anw.

den 20 mins later.. we decided to start eatin without him.

den another 10 mins.. we decided tt he's gona treat us dessert.

den another 15 mins... he turned up.

and the food was half gone. hahahaahh

aft dinner we went to watch 'Saw 3'. super gory la!! 5 mins into the show n jit asked ,'eh do u regret watchin movie?'
den 10 mins later, he said,' oh man.. we should hve watched 'Happy Feet'...' whahaaha. but the underlying meanin of the show is not bad la.

aft the movie we went to eat rocher 豆花. den sit n tok kok catch up abit.. shiok. aft tt eileen said she wanted to go borders so we drove down to borders. spent an hr plus there cos eileen was tryin to decide which book to buy.. n in the end she decided to go back there tmr to choose again. haha

aft tt jit sent us back. luckily got car! thx!! =)

hm n tt brings me to my next pt.. havin a car is a blessing cos it brings u to more places in a shorter time. many places tt seemed inaccessible last time are now included as options when deciding where to go. spontaneous change n addition of things to do is also possible now w more convenience n less time required. goin hme aft hangin out till late is also no longer a problem. so all seems gd.

but as we were driving down fr PS to borders, we went past the stretch of road tt we had walked along a few years ago when we were tryin to reach esplanade fr orc mrt, when none of us had cars den. it was fun then.. tokg n making fun of each other as we walked the seemingly endless stretch. tiring but fun. n we got to know each other better as we walked from the start to our final destination. i still dunno how come the guys actually agreed to walk down w us, but they did. n i'm glad they did. cos i dun tink there'd be much chance tt we'l be doin tt in the future.

but i guess as we grow older n enter new phases of our lives, things change. the way we do things changes too. i juz hope tt if someday i were to feel like doing stupid things like walkin down to esplanade fr far east, or sitting n stoning on the rooftop or things lidat, there'd be ppl hu would be willin to do them w me! WHAAAHHA n be as boliao as me... haahahaah

oh oh!! hahha show u all my newly decorated tree! so much nicer le! thx to js!! whaaha he bought some nice ornaments for my tree! hee tada!

met up w germy tdy!! the delicious looking choc above is a gift fr germy! yums! hahah she brought krispy kremes back too. but she din put them in the fridge so they got spoilt. whhahaahha. germy! y u so blur?!? haahah now i got no krispy kremes to eat! but its ok! i stil got choc! wahahah thx!! =) (eh xinli.. hint hint.. now u know wat to buy back fr US? haahaha nvm if dun hve. den u make ur donuts fr heaven for me.. ahahaa )

in the end we went safra mount faber to walk the bazaar swan was sellin stuff at. it was q a small bazaar n both of us were q amused tt the bazaar was held indoors. the first bazaar tt we've been to tt is held indoors w aircon.

there was this kids' show goin on there n the host was blabbering non-stop. den germy suddenly tapped me n siad,' eh i tink the guy on stage is saying hi to us.. he juz asked the two girls wearing red n pink how they were and i tink tt's us.' so i turned n looked n realised tt the guy was lookin in our direction so the both of us juz smiled n waved back.. hahaha so kok la!

hm anw i tink swan's booth was the best among all the booths. ok la.. not her booth. her future mother-in-law's booth. the decor was the nicest n the stuff they were sellin were oso the nicest n most interesting. in the end germy n me each bought this set which consists of a nice watch, a bracelet, a necklace and a pair of earrings for our mums as christmas gifts. n total cost : $18! cheap rite! both of us agreed tt it was a super gd buy. haahaha thx to swan n her bf, benny! whahahah he gave us a discount fr $22.90 to $18, which, according to him, is the cost price of the set. n somemore got free gift wor! hee thx alot!!

haahha met js there. was q surprised.. surprised until i was lost for words for a moment. so qiao la. n i knew he would make fun of me wearin a skirt... n i was right! argh! kick him ar! n of all places, we bumped into each other in toys'r'us.. it would hve seemed less weird if we were both 5 yr old kids n we bumped into each other there.. but we're both above 21 le! wat the hell were we doin in there?!? i hve no idea... he said he eyeing a toy helicopter... WHAHHAHAHA. anw he was there w caiting. tho one of them v fair n the other v black, but i tink they super pei. hei bai pei. whahaha v sweet couple. dunno when can attend their wedding. he better invite me if not i'l go hang pig's head at his door. whaaahaha yums yums!

hm aft tt went to seah im for chicken noodles! i miss the chicken noodles there! yummy yummy down my tummy! was deciding between tt n korean mixed rice. in the end we decided to eat korean on tues instead. slurps! hahahaha we both agreed tt singaporeans are pigs.. we spend most of our time eatin.

aft tt germy had to go church n i went hme. waited for my parents to go for dinner. hahaha ya.. as i was sayin.. singaporeans spend most of their time eating...

went to this peranakan place to eat. nice! next time when we go search for the swaying bridge in macritchie we can go there n eat! hm did my first parallel parkin w my mum's new car tdy.. stress ar! there was like ths super long queue of cars behind waiting cos it was a one way street.. so paiseh.. WHAAHAAHH

suemin moved out of hall on thurs. so sad! haiz gona miss...

...watchin all the tv shows w her when we dun feel like stdyg on her super small 6-inch tv. n while watchin, we'd comment n criticise everyt tt we see.

...cookin dinner n supper tgt, n sittin in front of her small tv watchin, eatin n tokg at the same time.

juz back from town. wa! super long nv come hme so late lo! esp since i haven been hme for a v long time.. haahah

my dad dropped me off at expo in the aftnoon. wanted to go to the new IKEA tt juz opened ystd but din in the end cos i decided tt it'd be too crowded for my liking. haahaha.

hm went for John Little's mega warehouse sale. din really buy much stuff there tho the stuff there really q cheap. guess i wasn't in a shoppin mood. aft tt went to Big Boyz Toyz. hm saw alot of cars but wat actually caught my attention were the bikes. most were damn cool la! esp the harley's.. woohoo! wanted to post some pics i took but my hme comp no bluetooth.. so cannot transfer.

den met weitao n edwin to go SITEX. weitao was lookin for a lappy. specifically, an ultimate gaming machine. din know he was so gd at bargaining. he managed to get the lappy at a cheaper price plus an upgraded ram. lihai! according to him, his dad even more lihai.. hahaaha next time wanna buy stuff muz ask his dad along..

went weitao's hse aft tt. his mum was super frenly n kept askin us to eat this dumbling thingy. haahaaha we kept refusing at first cos we were gona eat buffet later. but his mum insisted n brought 5 dumblings up. in the end we finished everyt. ahahaha den we all so paiseh n started accusing each other of finishing them.

went chongqing huo guo for dinner aft tt w the 54 gang. weitao, vincent, edwin, toh peng, larry, cai, waiyin, alvin, jiefeng, ah goh, loy n me. n like last time, once the food comes, its gone in 60 seconds. we kept ordering until the waitresses oso pissed. but the service this time was so much better than the last time's. the manager kept coming in to tell us stories. haah the first one was q farny.. subsequently the standard dropped.. until the guys asked him to give us a 10% discount if he wanna tell us anymore stories.. haaahah. overall the dinner was not bad.

aft dinner, we took a stroll down orchard to see the lightings! yay! hm was kinda disappointed cos the lightings not tt nice. but still! whaaaah christmas is coming! ok i'm crazy over christmas. took some pics. shall post them up when i get them!

den we decided to watch movie. everyone wanted to watch a diff movie n was takin daman long to come to a common consensus. in the end edwin couldn't take it anymore so he said, "aiya i tell u all wat la. i buy 3 'flags', 3 'step up', 3 'mo gong' and 1 'open season' la! den u all go n snatch urselves.' haaha in the end everyone decided ot watch 'flags' , which turned out to be the wrong choice cos it was kinda draggy.. hahaha most of the fell aslp.

the movie ended abt 2 plus. aft tt took cab hme w alvin n ah goh.

phew! such a long day! tiring but fun! =)

oh! germy's back!! yayz! haahaah shld be mtg her later. haaaha was supposed to go w her to swan's bazaar thingy but swan nv tell me where n how to get there.. haaha maybe we'd juz meet in town or sth.. hahaaa
