hahaha finally caught up the last time only to lag again now.. ok shall continue..

Lazy weekend

hm i meant the weekend before the one tt juz passed.. meaning the sat n sun aft universal studios. we went to watch 'superman' in the theatres on sat night. wanted to watch 'pirates' but tix sold out. anw the theatre deco n stuff super nice! looks v grand.. but den.. juz as the show was about to start, the screen went blank.. hahaa zong kan bu zong yong... but i muz say the resolution of the screen is superb. went grocery shopping aft the show. bought super alot of fruits.. to make fruit and turkey ham sandwich for future dinners! super nice! yummy yum yum! i tried all sorts of combi..

as u can see.. these are the ingredients for my sandwich!! got apples, bananas, avacadoes, strawberries(the strawberries here damn cheap! 1lb for USD$1), turkey ham and wheat white bread. All sliced.. (remember i was tokg abt me learning how to xiang shou life now.. hahaha)

and the best one is...... the avacado-banana turkey ham sandwich! 2nd goes to.... apple-banana turkey ham sandwich! The mixture of banana-avacado is superb! the banana brings out the taste of the avacado while the avacado dilutes the overpowering sweetness of the bananas. all the other combis will mask the flavour of the avacadoes.. esp strawberries. once got strawberries, the only thing u can taste will be strawberries.. n taste like fresh straberry jam.. yums! the banana-apple one is oso nice cos the apple adds crunch to the sandwich. crunch crunch! =)

sunday woke up and went over to the guys' place to watch world cup finals..felt so sad for zidane! =( stupid italian la!go provoke him.. but the scene q comical.. for a moment abit hard to believe tt happened.. but still i feel so sad for him! haiz.. in the end the match lasted so long n ended w penalty which i tink is a damn dumb way to determine who the next WC champion will be.. anw was watchin the 3rd 4th match on sat n surprised tt at this level le still got own goal.. hahaa but the portugal diving header is juz super nice la!! anw aft finish watching the match everyone started stdyg cos midterms was the next week at tt time, which means its this week (i juz finished one paper n it kinda sucks..). hm i was at the sofa n before i knew it i fell aslp n was awaken by clarence saying,"hm i tink our sofa is deadly. anyone hu sits in them will fall aslp.." n tt is so true!! i turned to the other sofa n saw wenyao aslp holding his book. and everytime julin is in the sofa, she'l fall aslp.. hahaha dangerous sofas..

aft lazing arnd for the whole day, we cooked pasta for dinner! aft tt had cut fruits den had choc tang yuan for supper!! yums yums! jason made dumbbell shaped tang yuans while alex made tang chang.. aft tt julin, clarence, derick and wenyao started playing drinking games. haha they played indian poker and aft like half an hour, julin n derick both gone le. derick damn farny! tink he really drunk cos he started tokg nonsense nonstop. den left w clarence n wy hu started playin blackjack. in the end they decided to stop n chitchat. somehow when guys get tgt, they'l start tokg abt army. but their army stories all v farny! clarence (hu was in the same company or sth as shunyuan) was saying tt last time they had some outing n went to HMV. they said to meet at Topshop. den they waited damn long for sy only to find tt he was wating for them at the top level of HMV.. hahah

anw we toked till like 4plus am n decided tt its kinda late to go back ot my hse so i stayed over to finish my assignment which was due the next day (hm not last min at all..) hm we actually also toked abt investments, marriage, taking care of our family n stuff lidat.. n i realised their tinkg really mature. den i suddenly feel like some kiddo tho they only 2 yrs older..

anw show u a farny conversation on msn w them. we were deciding wat to eat n do for sat night.

Wy: ok man... want to go watch pirates?
Wy: i damn sian

Julin: ya so now how?
Wy: miso soup
Wy: miso hungry
Wy: miso pretty
Wy: hahaha
Wy: i saw this brand in topshop (<-- so out of pt rite... hahhah)
Julin: er...
Julin: miso soup?
Wy: ok lah.. thai food ai mai
Julin: i can thai food
Alex: yer can tie food?
Wy: ....
Wy: i make a decision liao...
Julin: wat decision?
Wy: i anyt w wat u all wan to eat
Julin: that's your decision?!

Clarence: eh so how?
Julin: if we are movieing tonight might as well eat out. but the theatres here can theatre hop one not?
Wy: hehe cannot
Wy: u gotta hve longs legs to hop
Wy: cos its 3 (different) theatres across 3 streets
Julin: -.-

(realised i wasn't really participating cos i tink too many ppl making decision only make it even worse. den when they decided le they tot i not arnd so wy say to call me on my hp so i juz typed 'ok' in the window n fr den on i'm the stalker or spyer... so i told them i kept quiet cos too many cooks spoil the broth..)

VegasCanyon Trip!!

13th - 17th july '06, thurs - mon

packed up n set out on a roadtrip to Las Vegas on the thurs tt juz passed! Went w julin, her fren jian hong and the farny guy. dunno y i asked him oso.. he cant even help w the driving burden.. haiyo.. hahah..

we rented a red chevrolet n drove for 5 to 6 hrs down to vegas. took longer than we expected due to lousy traffic conditions. but when we were nearing the place we saw this beam of light shining in to the air (like some beam of hope lidat)n my fren told us tt was the trademark of one of the hotels there. so we juz started cheonging our way there. we actually went up to 100mph.. damn shiok.. but dangerous.. hmm.. we had wanted to eat buffet but by the time we reached there it was already 10 plus n all buffets finish le.. =(

we stayed in Stratosphere. aft we reached there, we had dinner n went to bed. the weather was damn hot!! it was windy but it was hot wind. the next morning we went to IHOP for breakfast. its this place which sells traditional american breakfast. Yap Xinli muz go try! its a chain restaurant. i tried the buttermillk pancakes w apple n cinnamon dressing. nice!

aft tt we went to the outlets there. the stuff not say super cheap oso la. but still cheaper than singapore. bought USD$200+ of stuff there! cant believe it man.. but it was cos i bought 2 sweaters which cost arnd 100 le.. bought 1 for my sis n 1 for myself. i tink its v nice! next time i wear n show u all.

went for a show aft tt. Le Reve. Its a water based show w lots of acrobatic stunts in it. was damn gd! but damn ex. the tix cost USD$117 each. but since there le juz watch lo. wanted to watch other better ones but all sold out.

went to walk arnd to see the night scene n hotels n stuff. all their hotels got theme one n the theme is the name of the hotel n each hotel has their own show. all the neon lights really make the city very vibrant n colourful and yet not sleazy. v tastefully done.

hahha not tokg abt u germaine.. haha but the next day was a day filled with lots of shit! metaphorically n literally...

went to Grand Canyon the next morning! another great adventure! we set out too late n we dilly dally.. in the end we reached there at 6pm n tt's considered damn late cos we gotta get down before sunset if not cannot see the path.. but in the end we still ended up hiking in the dark. was damn scary! it was so windy at night n we were hiking down steep rocky paths w cliffs on one side! suddenly feel tt we damn lucky to be alive man... but saw damn damn alot of stars! n managed to take some really nice pics! =)

so where did the shit come in? hahaha along the path tt we hiking on, there were lots n lots of mule shit! cos mules were used to transport ppl, food n drinks down to the lodging at the bottom of the canyon. n they juz pooed as they walk down the path so there is always a danger of stepping on shit every step we take. so we deviced a way of preventing tt. the person hu's leading will shout 'shit alert!' when there's mule shit ahead on the path. but aft a while, it got so dark we couldn't see.. n it got so dangerous tt we'd rather step on shit than to avoid it n fall off the cliff.. hahaha

we stayed overnight at phantom ranch at the bottom of the canyon. we reached there at arnd 10 plus at night and had a little bbq for dinner!

we started off at 8am the next day which was considered super late cos the sun was scorching at midday! i tink it was 120 degrees ferenheit tt day.. which is arnd 40 plus degrees celcius. jian hong had diarrhoa n was dehydrating so farny guy decided to stop w him at this shelter to call for help. he told julin n me to go ahead first so we went. we had little water so we rationed alittle n asked for water from passing hikers.

aft hiking past halfway, we saw farny guy heading towards us so we q happy cos tot they caught up.. den we realised jh not w him! so we asked him where jh was.. n realised he left him there at the shelter alone.. hu in the right mind would leave a sick person in the middle of a desert?!? he told us tt he left him there w sufficient food n water which they found in the shelter n had came aft us cos he tot we din hve enough water.. only to find tt we were doin fine.. until now i still cant believe he actually left jh alone there.. so in the end we decided to hike up to the rangers place to ask for help.

we met some workers on the way n told them wat happened n one of them commented,"i hope he's still ur fren when u all reunite.." in the end jh started hiking up aft feeling better n met a ranger hu was looking for him halfway. so finally everyone was safe back in the car. n aft tt julin n me ignored farny guy the whole way back to LA.. hahah

went wal mart on the way back and bought a tennis racket! hahahah oh ya! i taking tennis lessons here cos q cheap n can learn new skill. super fun!

anw aft we got back, julin told the guys abt wat happened at canyon n now farny guy is ranked second in the 'guy they wanna meet most here'. hahaa ranked first is this guy called apoorv. no one has seen him before but he always post stuff on the google group n the most recent one he was askin if we had plans this weekend n tt to email him if we do. n his email was 'apoorv_luvs_u@hotmail.com'.... some email add huh...
